Its every teenagers dream to graduate and then go out into the working world.
Finally getting their own paycheck, Driving their own car and having their own apartment.
Seriously, what could be better than that? Even i would love it.
But when i think of it at a deeper level, i realize its just not all that simple after all.
We're living in a constant fairy tale where we think that we will definitely get a job once we graduate and somehow there is a car out there waiting to be bought by us at a special price and also a cool apartment waiting for us.
All that however, i feel, is far from the truth.
As for myself, i never rushed for the day when i shall finally graduate and start venturing into the working world.
Seriously, whats the point.
The one thing that everyone can never escape from is "work". Wouldnt it be ironic if we are now chasing after something that we will soon find a burden?
I used to think that once i graduate, i can finally move out and live on my own.
I dont care, even renting a room in KL sounds amazing. I practically had this image of me walking to work everyday and going home after work.
Man, that was a nice feeling , i thought.
But now, i kinda have a different perception on that. I was so obsessed with having my own job and apartment that i have actually filtered out everything else.
Work stress, apartment rent, expenditures, etc etc.
The working world indeed is a shit hole and not a fun-land.
So my opinion, i'd rather stay in the education world where i can continue to gain more knowledge and meet more people. There is no point if i hurry to step into the working world unprepared and charging around aimlessly only to realize that i have not learn enough.
Besides, with all the economy downtrends, i dont think its time to even start to enter the working world. Unless you are fully prepared to take whats gonna be thrown at you.

now, that certainly makes sense. have always told students to take their time and dont rush into the working world. once you're in... you're in for life. taking a break is not possible because you are probably supporting yourself by then.
but then again, the working world is the real world. when the time comes for you to come out of your comfort zone and fantasy land... then it's time.
